Anchor gives your clients a clinical-grade tool they can use the moment a crisis hits, without calling you, without going to the ER, and without being alone.

Built by a clinician. Designed for the moment it matters most.

Anchor was created by a licensed therapist who has spent years guiding people through crisis moments in session. These are the same techniques — grounding, paced breathing, safety planning, de-escalation — now available the second your client needs them, not just during their next appointment.

Anchor — Privacy PolicyLast updated: 08/16/2026SummaryAnchor is a crisis de-escalation app that guides you through difficult moments using evidence-based techniques. Anchor is built around a simple principle: your personal information stays on your device. Anchor has no user accounts, and we do not collect, receive, transmit, or store your personal or health information on our servers. Everything you enter is stored, encrypted, on your phone.Who this policy applies toThis policy applies to anyone who uses the Anchor mobile app. Anchor does not have accounts and is intended for use by adults.Information stored on your deviceAnchor stores the following on your device only. This information is encrypted at rest and is never sent to us:• Journal and crisis-log entries you choose to write, including any mood ratings, triggers, coping tools, and notes
• Your personal safety plan
• Your record of which exercises you have used and marked as helpful ("My Tools")
• Your check-in follow-up responses and history
• Any PIN you set to protect your journal
You can delete this information at any time from within the app. Uninstalling the app also removes it. Because this information is stored only on your device and we never receive a copy, we cannot access, recover, or delete it for you.Health and wearable dataIf you choose to connect Apple Health or an Oura Ring, Anchor reads certain health metrics to show your nervous-system readiness and to help you see how exercises affect your body:• From Apple Health: heart rate variability and sleep data
• From Oura: readiness and related metrics
This health data is used only on your device to display information to you, and is stored encrypted on your device. We do not receive, transmit to our servers, or store your health data. Connecting Apple Health or Oura is optional; Anchor works fully without it.Anchor may write mindfulness session data back to Apple Health if you permit it. You control all Health permissions in the iOS Settings app, and you can disconnect Oura at any time in the app.The one time information leaves your deviceTo connect your Oura Ring, Anchor performs a standard secure sign-in ("OAuth") with Oura. During that one-time connection, an authorization code is exchanged for an access token through our server. This exchange exists only to complete the secure connection with Oura and to keep our application credentials off your device. No health data, journal content, or personal information passes through or is stored on our server during this exchange. After the connection is made, your device communicates with Oura directly.Information we do not collectAnchor does not collect any of the following:• Names, email addresses, or account information (there are no accounts)
• Location data
• Contacts
• Advertising identifiers, and we do not use your information for advertising
• Analytics or tracking of your in-app behavior
NotificationsIf you enable check-in reminders, Anchor schedules them locally on your device. These reminders use only generic text and never include any detail about your crisis pathway, mood, or entries.Crisis resourcesAnchor displays the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline within the app. If you contact 988 or any emergency service, that interaction is governed by their policies, not this one. Anchor is not an emergency service and is not a substitute for professional care.ChildrenAnchor is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Because Anchor has no accounts and collects no information on our servers, no personal information is gathered from any user, including minors.Changes to this policyIf we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and post the revised policy at this address.ContactIf you have questions about this policy, contact us at:[email protected]GroundWork Labs LLC
